Use strategies
When you experience or witness violence, you can use different strategies to call it out and seek help.
When you say “NO” to someone, it shows clearly that you refuse. Saying “NO” can help you protect your rights. You’re allowed to stand up for yourself.
Sometimes it’s hard to say “NO” or to get help on your own. With two or more people, you’ll feel stronger and better able to stand firm or call out a situation!
It’s important to report any violent situation to an adult you trust so that it can be stopped. Getting help when you need it is a brave thing to do!
If you need help
If you need help, never forget that you can talk to an adult you trust—an adult with whom you feel comfortable and who can help you. There are also places where you can talk to really friendly adults! I put some links and numbers here just for you. Don’t hesitate to call—it can really help you feel better.
